To progress the Breathedge 2 main quest, finish the suit and Chicken tutorial, restore station power, raise the train pantograph, repair all four train fixtures, fix the interphone, and then follow the multi-antenna objective chain. Do each repair only after inspecting it, because that reveals the active material requirement. The walkthrough below follows Chapter 1 in order and keeps later details below their own headings.

Equip the suit and feed the Chicken

Collect the spacesuit and helmet from the benches near Babe and Sui, then equip both items. Find the chicken feed behind the nearby pieces, place it in an active slot, and feed the Chicken. The objective should update immediately after the required interaction.

Enter the docked train, pick up Sui, and approach Babe in the right corner. If the sequence does not move forward, verify that the tracked objective has changed rather than relying on continuing dialogue. The introduction must complete before the station repair chain behaves normally.

Craft Scrap and open the phone booth

Search two containers behind the train-station platform and collect at least two Metal. Craft Scrap for Metal x2, equip it, and use it directly on the phone-booth lock. Aim at the lock itself because nearby geometry may not register the hit.

Preserve spare Metal for tool replacement and later train repairs. Scrap durability is a resource, and random harvesting can break the tool before the next objective. If the tool disappears, craft another rather than treating the lock as a quest bug.

Restore the generator and pantograph

Reach the generator on top of the station platform and look directly behind it. Its battery is trapped in ice; break the ice with Scrap, pick up the battery, and insert it into the generator. This restores the first stage of station power.

Move to the train roof under the glass awning and raise the pantograph. The train should connect to the powered infrastructure and advance the tracker to interior repairs. Revisit nearby frozen interactions only after this step because power can change their available state.

Repair the train systems

Inspect all four damaged fixtures before gathering. Kettle Bobby requires Aluminum x3, Wires x2, Electronics x2, and Plastic x1; the Nutri-Pack-O-Mat requires Aluminum x3, Wires x2, Electronics x3, and Plastic x1. The lamp requires Plastic x1, Metal x2, and Glass x2, while the window accepts Cardboard or Foam.

Use short loops around platforms, wrecks, pipes, panels, and ice to gather one complete recipe. Plastic is commonly harvested from pipes, Wires from panels with the Cutter, and Electronics from devices or floating appliances. The recipes guide provides a single table if you need to compare totals.

Repair the interphone

The interphone stage first calls for Electronics x5. After that repair, the wiring objective requires Metal x5, Wires x2, Aluminum x4, and Duct Tape x2. Inspect the active panel between steps because the displayed requirement changes as the repair progresses.

Duct Tape is cut from suitable pipe or station objects, while Wires come from electrical panels. Bring the Cutter and leave enough inventory room for both. If a material does not drop, confirm the object shows the matching tool prompt before consuming durability.

Begin the antenna chain

The first large story antenna route leads toward a pod near a large ice formation behind the train-cart direction. Break the ice around the pod, rotate its starter, and follow its movement or objective guidance. This is distinct from the small broken antenna side quest immediately beside the station.

A story antenna electronics repair can require Metal x4, Wires x3, and Electronics x4. The corresponding antenna assembly uses Aluminum x3, Duct Tape x2, and Plastic x2. Gather these as two separate repair packages so shared inventory does not obscure what remains.

Continue through beacons and probes

Later steps expand through additional antenna structures, a homemade beacon, and a government probe. Follow the tracker in sequence, because visiting a later landmark early may not activate its usable parts. Use the last repaired structure as your return landmark before moving farther outward.

One later stage asks for Antenna Debris x2 near an antenna structure above the Attendant bridge area. These pieces belong to the main objective, not necessarily the two local parts used by the station-side quest. Match the item to the active tracker before assuming a collected component will satisfy both tasks.

Prepare before each longer leg

Repair or replace Scrap and the Cutter, store unrelated materials, and carry food, water, health support, and oxygen appropriate to the route. Turn back near half oxygen while learning a new path. A failed long trip usually costs more time than two successful gathering runs.

Complete nearby optional objectives when they provide a permanent benefit without a major detour. The Attendant quest grants Physical Protection +2 and teaches the station's lower structures. The survival guide covers loadout and turnaround decisions in more detail.

Troubleshoot progression

If the marker remains on a repaired object, inspect every side of it for a second panel or assembly step. Confirm that materials were submitted rather than merely carried, and wait for dialogue to finish when the tracker is updating. Save and reload only after verifying the preceding physical action.

This walkthrough was checked on September 1, 2026 for the first Early Access release. Breathedge 2 is actively developed, so quest order, costs, and names may change. Current in-game objective text always takes priority over an older route.

Chapter 1 progress checklist

Before moving outward, confirm the generator, pantograph, four train fixtures, and interphone stages are complete. Check that the tracker names the next antenna objective and that your inventory contains its exact repair package. Save at the train, leave unrelated materials behind, and begin the route with known oxygen margins.
