Repair the Antenna in Breathedge 2

To repair the antenna near the starting station, collect one Antenna Debris piece floating beyond the broken antenna and a second behind the train platform near an asteroid or large ice chunk. Return both pieces to the station-side antenna and interact with its repair point. The entire route stays close to the opening platform, so turn back if your tracker instead leads toward distant pods or a chain of three antennas.

Find the broken antenna

Face outward from the starting train platform and move toward the antenna structure on the left side of the station area. Inspect the broken device so the objective and required debris are properly registered. Restoring station power first makes nearby machinery and interactions easier to identify.

Use the train and platform as your primary return landmark. This side quest should feel like a local loop rather than a major expedition. If the station becomes difficult to see, you have probably widened the search farther than necessary.

Find the first Antenna Debris

From the broken antenna, continue slightly beyond it and search the nearby open space for a floating debris piece. Move slowly enough for the interaction highlight to appear. The item is smaller than the antenna structure and can disappear against surrounding wreckage.

After collecting it, turn toward the station and confirm you can identify the return line. Do not continue searching in the same direction for the second piece. The two items sit on different sides of the local area.

Find the second Antenna Debris

Return toward the train platform and move behind the station. Search near the asteroid or substantial ice chunk close to the rear of the platform. Scan the edge and nearby floating debris rather than the center of the train structure.

The interaction highlight is more reliable than trying to match an exact visual angle from another player's screenshot. Early Access lighting and approach direction can make the part look different. Stop boosting, rotate slowly, and work a tight circle around the landmark.

Complete the repair

With both Antenna Debris pieces in inventory, return to the broken antenna and use its repair point. If the objective does not complete, inspect the structure from more than one side for the correct panel. Confirm the tracker shows two collected parts rather than two similarly named story items.

Wait for the objective update before leaving. Dialogue or an animation may need to finish before completion is recorded. If only one piece registered, revisit the two local landmarks instead of searching toward distant main-story antennas.

Do not confuse the main antenna chain

Chapter 1 later sends you toward multiple antennas, pods, electronics repairs, beacons, and a government probe. One story repair may request Metal x4, Wires x3, and Electronics x4, followed by Aluminum x3, Duct Tape x2, and Plastic x2. That is a separate sequence covered in the main quest walkthrough.

The easiest distinction is scale and wording. The side quest concerns one broken antenna beside the starting station and two nearby debris pieces. The story chain points outward and includes several staged objectives.

Prepare a safe search

Begin with enough oxygen for two short loops and leave at least two inventory slots open. No long-distance survival plan should be necessary, but clutter can make a small part take longer to see. Look backward after each movement so the train never disappears from your mental map.

Troubleshoot a missing part

Make sure you inspected the antenna before collecting debris, then search the exact local zones: beyond the antenna and behind the train platform near rock or ice. Reduce camera movement and watch for an interaction prompt. Tiny items are easy to overshoot while accelerating.

Quick antenna checklist

Inspect the local broken antenna, search just beyond it for the first debris, and return toward the rear of the train platform for the second. Use the nearby asteroid or ice chunk to tighten the second search. Carry both parts back to the same antenna and wait for the tracker to show completion.

If the route begins involving a pod, beacon, electronics package, or three separate structures, stop using this side-quest solution. Those signs identify the main antenna chain. Open the Chapter 1 walkthrough and match its heading to your current objective wording.

Use a two-loop search pattern

Make the first loop from the station to the broken antenna and slightly beyond it, then return to home. Make the second loop behind the platform around the nearby asteroid or ice landmark. Keeping the searches separate prevents the two debris descriptions from blending into one vague area.

After each pickup, check the quest counter before moving. If the count does not change, the object may belong to the story antenna sequence or another repair. Store the unmatched part and repeat the correct local loop with the tracker visible.
