The latest Breathedge 2 patch reviewed here is 0.8.11, released September 29, 2026: 10G petals count at 80% open, and the Easy cold-resistance quest completes at 100. Start with it for station wire connections, Taxi inspection, dialogue deaths, recycler sleep processing, or missing debuff displays. Choose the affected interaction below to get back to your active objective.
Current patch status
Patch 0.8.11 is the newest official announcement checked on October 2, 2026. The 0.8.11 problem checklist pairs each named fix with a useful retry and completion signal. Keep the journal visible during that interaction so the next objective, rather than a remembered route, determines where to go.
Version numbers serve two different jobs on this wiki. A page marked Verified on build means its route or facts were reviewed against that build, while this tracker identifies the latest official release notice. Those labels should not be silently merged: a fresh patch can be known before every older walkthrough has been retested.
If the number in your Steam client differs from this page, trust the installed game and its official Steam news first. Record the number before reporting a problem, especially when a route, recipe, or achievement refuses to advance. That one detail makes it much easier to distinguish an old guide from a current defect.
What changed in the first hotfixes
Hotfix 0.8.6 reduced food, water, and fatigue drain by 15% in Standard mode. It also addressed several progression failures, including fast ice removal at the 10G antenna, the station-door ice step, a hatch battery condition, and a station robot sequence. These changes matter to survival and quest pages, but they do not prove that every material cost or location stayed the same.
Hotfix 0.8.7 focused on fixes, interaction rules, and save safety. The official list includes Attendant part handling, a Depot save/load problem, a shuttle-flight save problem, objects that now require the Twister instead of the crowbar, and a marker issue in the Debug PornHubble task. It also explains that Taxi letters are intentionally scattered near the sign rather than placed as they were in the demo.
Hotfix 0.8.8 fixes named progression stalls around the loudspeaker, Zarya engines, the Taxi pump, intercom, larvae sequence, and station chief. It also changes the PornHubble grate to Cutter and two specific doors to screwdriver; those rules are separate from 0.8.7's Twister interactions. Use the 0.8.8 guide when an older crowbar instruction conflicts with the live prompt.
Hotfix 0.8.9 improves Steam Deck optimization, corrects encyclopedia text and hyperlinks, fixes the dummy-in-locker count, and addresses a station-chief head marker. It does not announce a universal performance result or a new story route. The 0.8.9 guide explains the scope without presenting an official note as a personal retest of every guide.
Patch 0.8.10 corrects the snowman nose counter, Latin American Spanish Taxi-letter placement, mud-statue markers and trajectory, named stuck spots, Steam Deck menu buttons, and movement penalties from three status effects. Start with the 0.8.10 problem checklist when one of those exact situations occurs. The note does not announce a new chapter or replacement crafting table.
Patch 0.8.11 corrects 10G petal counting and hinge-material display, Easy cold resistance, station wire connections, Taxi inspection, engine-explosion counting, dialogue deaths, recycler processing while sleeping, quick-access quantities, and status display after loading. Cop robots now respawn. These are existing-interaction changes; use the roadmap for planned chapter additions.
Check a guide after an update
Start with the page's update date and verified build, then compare the exact action that is blocking you. A route remains useful when its landmark and objective are unchanged, but a listed tool, item count, or interaction can become obsolete after a hotfix. The current on-screen prompt and quest text always outrank a previously published table.
For a repair, inspect the target before making a gathering trip. This confirms the live materials, the required tool, and whether an earlier step has already changed the object. For a location task, check whether an objective counter, marker, or interaction prompt appears before searching farther away.
Save at a safe station before attempting a long or one-way sequence after a major update. Load the save once, inspect your inventory and active objective, then continue only when both look normal. This is a short precaution, not a claim that every update damages saves.
Save and progression safeguards
The 0.8.7 note specifically changes when saving is available around the end of the shuttle flight. Let the scene finish and the character regain normal control before relying on a fresh save there. In the Depot, avoid treating a previous broken load as proof that the current patch failed; first reproduce the issue with the current version and record the exact step.
Quest problems deserve the same methodical approach. Confirm the active objective, inspect each side of the relevant machine, and wait for dialogue or the UI counter to settle before leaving. If an interaction is missing, a screenshot of the objective, build number, and object prompt is more useful than a general description such as “the quest is stuck.”
The developer asks players with post-update save problems to contact its support address after checking the current build. Use the official channel for a reproducible save issue, not a third-party wiki's comment section. A fan guide can explain a known workaround, but it cannot repair a damaged save file.
How this tracker handles sources
The latest entry was checked against the official 0.8.11 announcement on October 2, 2026. Older entries keep their original version conditions, so a 0.8.10 snowman correction is still attached to 0.8.10.
This page uses official Steam announcements as the primary source for version dates, balance changes, and bug fixes. Community reports and independent walkthroughs are useful for discovering where players are confused, but they do not establish a fact by themselves. A new route page is published only when it can give a distinct, actionable answer rather than repeat a rumor.
Each detailed update page links the official announcement and identifies what it changes for a player. It does not copy the announcement line by line or claim that every fix was personally reproduced. This distinction keeps a patch-note summary useful while leaving game-state verification honest.
When an update changes a precise guide, the affected page should receive its own new date and build label after review. Until then, use the wording “may be outdated” as a signal to check the game, not as a reason to abandon every older landmark. Most navigation advice stays helpful even when one repair input changes.
