Breathedge 2 Crafting Recipes
Check Breathedge 2 crafting recipes and material costs for Scrap, Cutter, Thumper, Twister, Medkit, oxygen, Alcohol, Gas Tank, Flashlight, and Backpack.
On this page+
The essential Breathedge 2 recipes are Scrap for Metal x2, Cutter for Aluminum x4 plus Plastic x2 and Metal x4, and Thumper for Metal x4 plus Plastic x2. Build those progression tools before optional equipment, then use the current workstation values if a patch differs from this list. The tables below were verified on September 1, 2026 for the initial Early Access release.
Essential tool recipes
| Item | Materials | Unlock or use |
|---|---|---|
| Scrap | Metal x2 | Starter tool for locks, ice, and common salvage |
| Cutter | Aluminum x4, Plastic x2, Metal x4 | Starter progression tool for panels and station salvage |
| Thumper | Metal x4, Plastic x2 | Starter tool for Aluminum deposits |
| Twister | Aluminum x4, Wires x2, Duct Tape x3, Plastic x2 | Unlocks after the Three Antennas progression |
Scrap should be the first craft because it opens the phone booth and frozen generator battery. Cutter follows because it harvests several material types that block train and story repairs. Thumper provides reliable Aluminum, and Twister belongs to later progression rather than the opening priority list.
Survival item recipes
| Item | Materials | Unlock note |
|---|---|---|
| Medkit | Alcohol x1, Fabric x2 | Available after finding Fabric |
| Purified Oxygen | Oxyworm x2, Metal x1, Ice x1 | Available after encountering Oxyworm |
| Alcohol | Ice x2, Nutriworm x1 | Available after finding Alcohol |
Craft a small emergency reserve rather than filling inventory with consumables. Purified Oxygen is most valuable when a route goes slightly wrong, but it cannot make an unplanned distant journey safe. Medkits protect progress after incidental damage, while repeated damage signals that equipment or route choice should change.
Equipment recipes
| Item | Materials | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gas Tank | Wires x4, Refined Metal x2, Rubber x2, Aluminum x4 | Extends a major survival capacity |
| Flashlight | Wires x2, Plastic x2, Glass x2, Light Bulb x1 | Improves visibility in dark structures |
| Backpack | Aluminum x4, Plastic x2, Titanium x4, Electric Tape x4 | Blueprint near painted corpse and locked box |
Choose equipment according to the route blocking you. The Backpack's extra capacity is useful only when oxygen and survival systems can support a longer gathering trip. Processed materials such as Refined Metal, Rubber, Titanium, and Electric Tape should be stored until their intended craft is clear.
Train repair recipes
| Repair | Materials |
|---|---|
| Kettle Bobby | Aluminum x3, Wires x2, Electronics x2, Plastic x1 |
| Nutri-Pack-O-Mat | Aluminum x3, Wires x2, Electronics x3, Plastic x1 |
| Lamp | Plastic x1, Metal x2, Glass x2 |
| Window | Cardboard or Foam |
Inspect each damaged fixture before submitting materials. Complete the machines that stabilize basic needs and progression before spending shared components on optional crafts. Store each recipe as a full package so a partial repair does not make inventory totals confusing.
Interphone and antenna repairs
| Repair stage | Materials |
|---|---|
| Interphone electronics | Electronics x5 |
| Interphone wiring | Metal x5, Wires x2, Aluminum x4, Duct Tape x2 |
| Story antenna electronics | Metal x4, Wires x3, Electronics x4 |
| Story antenna assembly | Aluminum x3, Duct Tape x2, Plastic x2 |
These entries are quest repairs rather than portable inventory crafts, but they compete for the same resources. Keep the active objective total separate from replacement-tool materials. The main quest walkthrough explains when each stage appears.
Total the opening priorities
For Scrap, Cutter, and Thumper alone, reserve Metal x10, Aluminum x4, and Plastic x4. The train's four fixtures add Aluminum x6, Wires x4, Electronics x5, Plastic x3, Metal x2, Glass x2, plus Cardboard or Foam. Exact order depends on what the tutorial has unlocked, but these totals explain why spending a shared material too early causes delays.
Do not try to carry every total at once. Gather one repair package, return, submit it, and begin the next route with empty slots. Focused cycles reduce oxygen risk and make missing components obvious.
Find each common material
Aluminum comes from cratered asteroid deposits with the Thumper. Plastic is found on pipes around station structures, Wires come from electrical panels with the Cutter, and Electronics come from devices and machinery. Metal appears in balls, barrels, containers, and salvage processed with Scrap.
Duct Tape, Foam, and Cardboard are found in appropriate platform, pipe, or ship salvage with the Cutter. Glass comes from wrecks and windows, while Ice is abundant in large chunks. Open the resource index for source recognition and safe route advice.
Handle changed recipes
Breathedge 2 is in active Early Access, so the live recipe card is authoritative. Compare your build date, record the new cost, and avoid assuming the save is broken. A balance patch may change only quantities while leaving the unlock route intact.
This page lists verified playable recipes and does not speculate about future spacecraft, vehicles, warp systems, or building. Those systems are planned, but their recipes are unknown until released. Check the roadmap for confirmed plans without invented material lists.
Recipe-run checklist
Inspect the target, write down its live cost, reserve replacement-tool materials, and empty enough inventory slots for the remaining components. Follow one resource route at a time and submit a complete package before starting an optional craft. This keeps shared Aluminum, Plastic, Wires, and Electronics from disappearing into the wrong item.
Compare recipes without overspending
When two available crafts share a scarce material, compare the access each one unlocks. A Cutter creates new sources for several resource types, while a comfort item usually solves one narrow problem. Choose the progression tool unless the survival problem is already preventing you from reaching its materials.
After crafting, return to the relevant object and verify that the new tool or item solves the intended blocker. Do not immediately spend the remaining stack on a second recipe. Preserve a replacement reserve until the new gathering route proves reliable.
