How to Fix 10G Antenna Progress in Breathedge 2
Fix Breathedge 2 10G antenna progress with the 80% petal rule, hinge material-display checks, ice-removal patch context, and the next Signal Jammer objective.
On this page+
If the Breathedge 2 10G antenna petals are not counting, update to 0.8.11 and open each required movable petal to at least 80% of its travel, then check the active objective. If the journal instead asks for ice removal or hinge repair, finish that named interaction first. Patch 0.8.11 also corrects the hinge's material display; the earlier rapid-ice-removal blocker was fixed in 0.8.6.
Find the correct antenna stage in your journal
The 10G antenna belongs to the later Chapter 1 communications route around the DEPOT handoff, before the Signal Jammer search. Use the tracked main objective to return to it. The main quest walkthrough places this stage in the broader station, communications, heating, and jammer sequence.
For this troubleshooting pass, read the journal before gathering or using a tool. Write down whether it asks you to clear ice, open petals, repair a hinge, or complete another antenna interaction. These descriptions identify different completion checks; an action that succeeds visually may leave a separate task pending.
The nearby starting-station side quest uses two Antenna Debris pieces. Its small-part search is a separate problem. If that is what your journal names, select it from the quest hub instead of carrying its pieces to the later story antenna.
Open the movable petals far enough to register
The developer's 0.8.11 note sets the counting threshold at 80% open. Treat this as the opening distance of a petal, not an instruction to stop the overall antenna quest at 80%. A section can look partly unfolded while still needing another part of its movement.
Use a deliberate sweep of the antenna:
- Face the first required movable section and locate its opening interaction.
- Continue the opening motion beyond the new threshold.
- Pause and check whether the journal or counter acknowledged that section.
- Move to the next required movable section rather than repeatedly manipulating the one already counted.
- Revisit any section that still exposes an incomplete opening interaction before leaving.
This order makes the missing action easier to isolate. If one petal registers while another does not, compare their opening state and interaction prompts. A nearly open section is a better first check than flying away to search for an unnamed repair item.
Once the petal objective advances, follow the new journal instruction. The visible shape of the whole antenna is less useful than the game's acknowledgement of the completed stage. Finish one tracked condition at a time so you can identify exactly where progress stopped.
Read the corrected hinge materials before collecting
Patch 0.8.11 fixes the display of resources needed to repair the 10G antenna hinge. Reopen the hinge panel after updating, note each item name and required quantity, then compare them with your inventory. Collect the missing difference instead of rebuilding a package from an older screenshot.
Keep the hinge package separate from other antenna, train, or Service Warmer repairs. Several objectives share common resources, so spending the same stack on a nearby object can create another gathering trip. Submit the package to the hinge named by the active task and check for its completion signal.
The useful confirmation is the repair interaction completing and the objective changing. If the panel still rejects a package, compare the exact item label, quantity, and current stage before increasing every stack. The official note establishes a display correction; the live panel provides your actionable material list.
Resolve an ice-removal stall on an older build
Hotfix 0.8.6, published September 2, fixes a case where removing ice from the 10G antenna very quickly failed to count and blocked progression. If your save stopped at the ice step on an earlier version, bring the game up to date before repeating the interaction.
On your return, keep the ice objective visible. Complete the remaining highlighted ice interaction, wait for the tracker to change, and then attempt the new task. Checking between ice removal and petal opening prevents a missed earlier trigger from being mistaken for a bad opening angle.
If the ice is already gone and the objective still names it, record that precise mismatch. A screenshot showing the exposed antenna and the unchanged journal is more useful than a general report that “the antenna is broken.” Preserve that state for the developer's bug reporter.
Separate a trapped character from an incomplete objective
Patch 0.8.10 fixes getting stuck while installing antenna parts. That note concerns character movement during installation. Use it when the character becomes physically trapped, and use the 0.8.11 petal rule when you can move normally but an opening action fails to count.
For an installation trap on an older build, update and retry the affected interaction from a recoverable point when available. Allow the installation animation to finish, then test ordinary movement and inspect the journal. For a counter problem, return to the named object and work through the required sections.
This distinction avoids spending materials on a movement problem or replaying a long route for one partially opened petal. The current patch guide also covers station wiring and dialogue deaths if the antenna is only one part of your stalled sequence.
Match the symptom to one next action
| What the game shows | Next action | Completion signal |
|---|---|---|
| Petal-opening objective remains active | Recheck the remaining movable sections using the 80% rule | Petal counter or objective advances |
| Hinge materials look inconsistent | Reopen the repair panel on 0.8.11 and collect its missing items | Repair completes |
| Ice is gone but its task remains | Check the installed version and document the ice-step mismatch | Journal acknowledges clearing |
| Character cannot move after installing parts | Apply the 0.8.10 installation-fix context | Normal movement returns |
| Antenna task has completed | Follow the new interference objective | Jammer search begins |
Run the row that matches your actual state. After a successful check, stop repeating it and read the new objective; progress through one stage can expose another legitimate requirement.
Prepare the DEPOT return without mixing two temperature checks
If cold prevents you from safely reaching the active antenna objective, first check the suit's Cold Protection and your return supplies. On Easy, 0.8.11 corrects the cold-resistance task to complete at 100 rather than incorrectly waiting for 130. Use the requirement shown by your journal on other difficulties.
DEPOT's Service Warmers instead raise Ambient Temperature to 100%. A suit upgrade and a warmer repair solve different conditions. The Service Warmers walkthrough explains the heating route; use it when the journal still names ambient temperature before resuming antenna work.
Continue toward the three jammer readings
After the antenna objective completes, follow the interference task and register all three strong jamming readings. Confirm each reading before following the next direction. The first successful point starts the search rather than identifying the final facility.
The Signal Jammer guide takes over once this search is active. Before leaving the antenna, check the changed journal line and remaining oxygen so the next trip begins from a confirmed stage.
